Process Map

The third model I'd chosen for Pensonic Holdings Berhad is called "Process Map". It is similar to a flow chart. However, this model emphasized on the flow of the processes rather than documents or information as shown by other flow charts. I use this model because I find that Pensonic needs to understand their internal and external processes before they can commit fully towards producing energy-saving devices. Their vast products made it harder to adopt the new features in their products because heavy investment is needed and employees training must be done before the company can expect any profit from this new manufacturing line.

Process map is able to guide the company to implement the new production processes step-by-step. The model also helps the company to take into consideration other products and management of the organization as a whole. Process map is a simple tool that can apply to solve any problems in any business function. This map is best formed by the management team with the help of employees closest to the manufacturing line. The process map will document the process of the company to convert its current manufacturing process to add energy-saving features in the production of its new processes.

I strongly believe that Pensonic has what it takes to convert and start producing energy-saving electrical appliances. This can be seen by their commitment towards continuous improvement and to form a stronger position in the market to compete with other global brands. That's why we chose Pensonic to propose this innovation because the company has shown much potential by gaining such a large market share in a short period of time. Their humble beginnings certainly will assist them in making the best choices of production that will suit the needs of the society because they have had interact with the society when they first start up on their business as a sole proprietorship.
